Horseshoe Bay Golf Riches Keep Growing

We recently stumbled across the news that the Tom Fazio course under construction at Horseshoe Bay, near Marble Falls, will be ready for opening in October. And the (golf) rich get richer.

Horseshoe Bay, of course, is already home to the Horseshoe Bay Resort, which features three awesome Robert Trent Jones designs. A fourth course at the resort, this one designed by Jack Nicklaus, has been on the drawing board for several years but is still yet to get off the ground.

The Fazio course is not part of the Horseshoe Bay Resort, but a separate club. It will be called Escondido. We saw it described as "semi-private," but that label is probably inaccurate. Escondido is a private club; however, we're guessing that guests from the recently opened Marriott hotel, and perhaps from the Horseshoe Bay Resort itself, may be granted reciprocal playing privileges.
