We all love a good golf vacation, but Tom DeLay apparently loves them more than most ... especially when they are paid for by lobbyists or shady Russians. I've been trying to think of a way to write about DeLay's ethics problems, some of which center around golf trips, but after some thought (hey, I heard that!) have decided against it. This is a golf blog, after all, and writing about DeLay would require wading too deeply into politics for a story that is only tangentially related to the topic at hand.
But there was a sentence in an article I read recently about DeLay, one that referred to the golf course he played in Moscow as "the most exclusive in Russia." But according to Golf Digest, there are only three golf courses in Russia. What constitutes the "most exclusive" course in Russia - is it the one that requires spikeless mukluks?
There are some funny billboards up in Houston and Galveston now about the DeLay golf trips. Check 'em out on The Red State.
