The day Larry Trader and his fiancée, Linda, got married 27 years ago started out like any other. Everything changed when Trader and his buddies got to the seventh tee of the Pedernales Golf Club in Briarcliff near Austin.
"Like everything else, it was a serendipitous moment," Linda Trader said from her home on the seventh tee of the golf course. "Larry called me, said, 'The preacher's here, we're getting married. Come on over.'"
After the ring went on her finger, the golf game continued.
That's how it was at Pedernales Golf Club — also known as Willie Nelson's Cut-N-Putt — where Trader, often called the singer's "right-hand man, concert coordinator, golfing partner and promoter," was the general manager.
