Trevino Retiring At End of Champions Tour Season

Texas golf legend Lee Trevino says he's had enough. The 68-year-old said over the weekend that he expects the AT&T Championship in San Antonio in October to be his final competitive golf appearance.

The Champions Tour tournament is already planning on capitalizing on Trevino's last tournament to draw out the fans.

Trevino, a three-time winner of San Antonio's senior tour stop, turns 68 in December, and cited his age as the chief factor in the decision to join friends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus in walking away from tournament golf.

"We'll do whatever we can do to celebrate this," Colby Callaway, director of the AT&T Championship, said. "Heck, we'll order a cake now. What an opportunity."
