Country Music Star Plans Benefit Tourney

Multi-platinum country music star Clay Walker (pictured) has a charity called Band Against MS that is "committed to providing educational information for those living with Multiple Sclerosis, funding programs researching a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, and funding programs helping those living with the disease." Walker has multiple sclerosis.

Walker recently announced the establishment of a golf tournament to help raise funds and awareness for the fight against MS. The tournament will be called the Clay Walker Charity Classic and will take place March 16-17, 2008, at The Woodlands Country Club.

The tournament is a pro-am, and among the pros will be 28 PGA Tour and Champions Tour players; and among the ams will be music and entertainment celebrities. The conclusion of the tournament will be followed by an awards dinner, charity auction and a private concert featuring Walker and friends.

For more info, including how you can play the tournament, visit the Band Against MS Web site. Peter Jacobsen Sports will manage the tournament, and you can also visit www.peterjacobsensports.com for info.
