For the first time in four tournaments, someone other than Mark Walker won on the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series. Of course, it helps that Walker wasn't in the field at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Classic in Mescalero, N.M. Walker had won the three previous tournaments on the Adams circuit.
But this time, it was David Jenkins of Overland Park, Kan., who emerged as the winner. Jenkins posted rounds of 68-68-63-71 for an 18-under 270 total at the New Mexico resort course. Houston's Charlie Soule charged in the final round with a 66, but fell two strokes shy of catching Jenkins.
