Brackenridge Now Open

brackenridge golf course san antonio

For the past month or so, golfers could play the renovated Brackenridge Park Golf Course in San Antonio for $250 (a fund-raising fee). And next April, the historic golf course will have its official grand re-opening.

But now, as of Dec. 1, Brackenridge is open on a limited basis for daily play at its normal rates. Tee times are offered daily from 9 a.m. to 11:48 a.m. only, and that window will be open until April, when the course ramps up for a full load of tee times.

  1. Sounds wonderful! Thanks for the heads up. I guess I won't be putting up the golf clubs yet.

  2. The revamping of the Brackenridge golf course was definitely necessary. Huge improvement!

Did you hear about the resorts opening up in the Hill Country area? The latest I heard of was the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa opening in the spring of 2010. The buzz is building quickly about this property due to the recent golf announcement of the Valera Texas Open which will change venues in 2010 to the new TPC San Antonio course located at the resort – hopefully we will bring in some really big golfers too!

It’s exciting to hear the direction our city is heading in so I thought I’d share!
