Rowell Thunders to Adams Tour Victory
Brian Rowell stormed to a 6-stroke victory in the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series Beaumont Open, completed on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the par-71 Beaumont Country Club.
A series of lightning delays interrupted play throughout the tournament, but in the end it was Rowell who thundered to victory. He opened with rounds of 64-63-65, allowing him to cruise home with a 70 in the final round.
It's been feast or famine in nine starts on the Adams Tour in 2009 for Rowell. He has missed the cut six times. But when Rowell makes the cut, the results are good: first, ninth and 16th.
