Conner holds a couple interesting distinctions. In his college days at Trinity University in San Antonio, he was one of the top tennis players in the country, and he played in the U.S. Open tennis tournament. Later, he played in the U.S. Open golf tournament - making him one of only three athletes to play in both the golf and tennis U.S. Opens.
He also appears in the PGA Tour record books, having been part of one of the longest sudden-death playoffs in tour history (see here).
