Dallas' Abbott Wins Adams Tour Stop in Beaumont

Scott Abbott of Dallas is the champion of the 2010 Beaumont Open, part of the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series. The tournament was played on the par-71 Beaumont Country Club.

Beaumont's own Anthony Broussard finished tied for second with Michael Arnoud of Baton Rouge, La.

Abbott birdied the 71st hole to take a 1-stroke lead. Broussard could have forced a playoff with a birdie on the last, but bogied, as did Arnoud, giving Abbott his final 2-stroke margin of victory.
