Money Leader Wins on Adams Tour

Dickinson's Ryan Nelson was already the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series money leader heading into the Northeast Oklahoma Championship. And with his victory in that event, Nelson now holds what might be an insurmountable lead with only four tournaments remaining on the schedule.

The Northeast Oklahoma Championship concluded on Aug. 14 at Emerald Falls Golf Club in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Nelson opened with a 68, and made a big move with a second-round 64. He fell behind Dallas' Edward Loar in the third round when Loar shot 65. But in the final round, Nelson carded a 69 to Loar's 72 to come from two behind Loar and finish one stroke in front.

The victory is the second of the Adams Tour season for Nelson, who has finished outside the Top 10 in only two of 11 starts in 2010.
