Texas' Top Young Golf Instructors

Who are Texas' top young teachers of golf? One way to look at that question is to consult the Golf Digest ranking of "America's Best Young Teachers," which appears in the November 2012 issue.

The magazine defines young as under-40, which is a pretty good definition since most of the really famous golfer instructors are approximately 120 years old.

Multiple instructors at Texas golf facilities made the list. Congrats to the following teachers:

  • Carlos Brown: Age 32, teaches at Waterview Golf Club in Rowlett.
  • Chris Como: Age 35, teaches at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano.
  • Cameron McCormick: Age 39, teaches at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas.
  • Chris O'Connell: Age 39, Plane Truth Golf, Plano.
  • Joey Wuertemberger: Age 33, teaches at Jim McLean Golf Center in Fort Worth.
Of course, if you want to learn from the best, you have to expect to pay. Among these five instructors, the lowest lesson rate is $120. You'll also notice all five teach in the DFW area.
